Artist Statement

Hello! My name is Maya McQuivey! This has been my first time in a photography or art class at the school. I remember my oldest brother who took a similar class to this a couple of years ago and I really wanted to do it too. I love being able to take pictures and capturing real moments and then making art out of it. My favorite prints were the ones where we got to do creative processes like hand coloring, solarizing, or even toning our prints. Additionally, I took most of my pictures outside in the nature. I like to capture life and movement that exists in our world around us.
