Don't know how to count your windows for an estimate?
When getting a quote for window cleaning, it is good to know how window cleaning companies charge for their services. Here in the Sacramento area it is usually by how many window panes you have. So when contacting Blue Tuxedo for a quote you will most likely be asked, “How many windows do you have?”
When asked this question, most homeowners will count a set of windows as one window. However window cleaning companies, including Blue Tuxedo, count each individual PANE of glass separately. A “pane” is a piece of glass surrounded by a frame on all sides and each window set is made up of more than one window pane. So to get the most precise quote it is best to count how many window PANES you have.
You can use the image below as a reference to accurately count your window panes. We find it best to walk the perimeter of your home with a pen and paper to count up the window panes. Remember that the size of each window pane does not matter and even though a pane has two sides, there’s still just one pane, so just count each pane once.
