With spectacular views of the Gore Range, and a fun ride up via chair lift, this site really is quite a special spot.
Much like 020803captivating in Telluride, the wedding deck itself is pricey to rent (rates start at around $2,000 plus the cost of renting a reception area), and we can help you with the rental if that's what you want. Another option though is to get married nearby without using the deck while still being able to include the incredible views.
While the wedding deck has space to easily accommodate up to 200 people (don't forget, Blue Sky Elopements has a maximum guest limit of 30), we do recommend a maximum guest count of 5 for an elopement that is nearby, but not on the deck.
Fees for this site are a little higher than other parts of Vail due to the time needed to get to the site, as well as the lift tickets your vendors will need to get to the top. We will roll those fees into your package.

Incredible backdrops
It's a four-season venue, but you'll need snowshoes in winter.
The Gore Range offers some incredible mountain peaks in the distance.

Accessibility
Parking: available at several parking garages for a fee ranging from $10-15. Another option is a shuttle which we can help you arrange.
Vehicle type: for winter, make sure your vehicle has good ground clearance to get over snow, as well as 4-wheel drive for potential ice. For weddings held between September 1st and May 31st, note that Colorado has strict traction laws in place that affect what type of vehicle you are allowed to drive in the mountains. If you are planning a Colorado mountain wedding between these dates, please thoroughly read this blog post so you'll be driving the right type of vehicle. (Don't rely on the car rental companies to fill you in on this; our experience is that they don't.)
Access from parking: walk from parking to the gondola/chair lift via paved sidewalks. Once at the top, you'll be walking over hard packed gravel from the lift to the ceremony site. In the winter, you will need snowshoes to access the area.
Site Use
Remember! The actual wedding venue has a walkway and platform stage. These facilities are private--you’re not supposed to have your ceremony on the platform unless you reserve it. But there are a number of equally gorgeous spots close by, so no worries if you didn’t reserve it.

Permits, Fees and Other Information
The nonreservable area is on public land, therefore there's no permit necessary to utilize it. However, in the winter, ski and snowboard traffic abounds and cannot be displaced. During wedding season, there may be other ceremonies going on at the wedding deck. We cannot guarantee exclusivity in the area.
The reservable area has rental rates that start at $2,000 in addition to the cost of renting a reception area.
The lift to the site runs from 9:30AM to 4:30PM daily, June 17th to September 4th. It runs only on the weekend in early June and September. Lift tickets start at $36 for adults, and $18 for kids, aged 5-12.
We will roll the appropriate fees into your package, including lift tickets for your vendors.
