2D Animator – Toon Boom Harmony – Full time

Blue Bandicoot Studios is looking for a team of 2D Harmony animators to work on an animated series from Jan 2021- Jan 2022. The role requires you to be on-site in our Blue Mountains studio.

Essential:

• Skills in technical cut-out animation, and a thorough understanding of animation principles.

• Proven experience animating in 2D using Toon Boom Harmony software.

• Artistic skill and ability to draw.

• Friendly attitude, a willingness to grow and learn and an ability to meet weekly quota deadlines.

• Australian resident for tax purposes.

Desirable:

• An understanding of composition, framing and storyboarding

• Tertiary qualifications in Animation

• Understanding of Shotgun production tracking software

Lead 2D Background Artist – Full time

Blue Bandicoot Studios is looking for an experienced background artist to lead a small team of artists full-time for 12 months creating colourful backgrounds for a 2D Animated series in their newly-established and friendly production studio.

The role will initially be a work-from-home job until we establish our new studio in the Blue Mountains, NSW in early 2021. You will be required to work in-house pending Covid regulations.

Essential:

• 3+ years experience drawing backgrounds for 2D animation production

• Exceptional artistic skill using Adobe Photoshop

• Proven experience in TV and/or feature film work

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work to a strict deadline

• Must be an Australian resident for tax purposes

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony

• A formal qualification in film, media or animation
