The Black River FCCLA Officer Team plays a vital role in the success of our chapter! As a dedicated group of leaders, they tackle planning and executing all of our chapter activities. They meet weekly to develop our Program of Work, organizing what we are doing in the upcoming weeks as a chapter. As an officer team, they work to create engaging and meaningful meetings and community service events for all of our members, allowing us to make an impact in our school, community, and the lives of our members. By fostering collaboration from our school's best leaders, the Black River FCCLA Officer Team makes our chapter a special place, one that is student-led and focuses on making an impact on others!

Meet the 2025-2026 Black River FCCLA Officer Team:

Emma Bright

President

Emma Bright has been a dedicated member of Black River FCCLA for three years and has served as a chapter officer for two years! As President, Emma leads our chapter, ensuring success with every event. She leads our officer team while planning meetings and community events and also guides our chapter meetings every week. Overall, Emma works diligently to guarantee that our chapter runs smoothly. As a member, she has accomplished many feats within FCCLA: She has completed two STAR Events, qualifying and attending the National Leadership Conference two years in a row. Outside of FCCLA, Emma is involved in NHS, Student Council, Marching Band, and is a varsity letter winner in volleyball and softball. After high school, she plans to attend college to major in Business Marketing with a minor in Sports Management.

Kallie Bacho

Vice President

Kallie Bacho has been a passionate member of Black River FCCLA for three years and has served as a chapter officer for two years! In her role as Vice President, Kallie works to support the President and lead our officer meetings, working towards clear communication across the whole officer team. Additionally, she works closely with our adviser to apply for state and national program awards. During her membership, Kallie has competed in two STAR Events, qualifying for the National Leadership Conference twice, attending once. Outside of FCCLA, she is a member of NHS, Student Council, serves as the Junior Class Vice President, and is a varsity letter winner in cheer. After graduation, Kallie plans to attend college to major in Project Management with a minor in dance.

Abigail Demczyk

Vice President of Community Service

Abigail Demczyk has been an insightful member of Black River FCCLA for four years and has spent all four years as a chapter officer! Additionally, she is serving as the Ohio FCCLA Vice President of Community Service. As the Black River FCCLA Vice President of Community Service, Abigail organizes all of our community service projects that we host as a chapter and guarantees that all details are thoughtfully outlined with clear instructions. She also assists members with tracking their service hours in the FCCLA Student Portal. As a member of FCCLA, she has competed in three STAR Events, qualifying for the National Leadership Conference all three years, attending two years. Outside of FCCLA Abigail is a member of NHS and the Marching Band. After high school, she plans to attend Bowling Green State University to major in Music Education.

Rebekah Miller

Vice President of Finance

Rebekah Miller has been a thoughtful member of Black River FCCLA for two years and is serving her first term as a chapter officer! As Vice President of Finance, Rebekah keeps an accurate record of all finances leaving and entering our account. She also actively searches for fundraisers for our chapter to take part in, allowing us to increase our income, expanding member opportunities. During her time as a member in FCCLA, Rebekah has competed in one STAR Event, placing 2nd in the state, qualifying for the National Leadership Conference, but not attending. Outside of FCCLA, she is a member of the varsity volleyball and softball teams. After high school, Rebekah plans to attend college to major in Early Childhood Education.

Peyton Stewart

Vice President of Membership

Peyton Stewart has been a collaborative member of Black River FCCLA for two years and is a first year chapter officer! As Vice President of Membership, Peyton works consistently to keep attendance at chapter meetings and records attendees on our sticker chart. Additionally, she works with the officer team to plan member recruitment events, promoting FCCLA and the opportunities that are available for students. During her time as a member in FCCLA, Peyton has competed in one STAR Event, receiving 2nd in the state, qualifying for the National Leadership Conference, unfortunately not attending. Outside of FCCLA, she is a member of the varsity softball team. After high school, Peyton plans to attend college to become a Registered Nurse.

Anya Koberna

Vice President of Program Outreach

Anya Koberna has been a committed member of Black River FCCLA for four years, serving as a chapter officer for two years. As Vice President of Program Outreach, Anya works jointly with our adviser to plan informational events for STAR Events and Power of One's. In the beginning of the year, she presents to our chapter about competitive events and then organizes project parties to ensure that participants are able to have the resources they need to be successful. Anya is experienced with STAR Events which makes her perfect for this position. During her FCCLA tenure, she has competed with three STAR Events. Outside of FCCLA, she is a member of the varsity basketball and track team. After graduation, Anya plans to attend college to major in Early Childhood Education.

Brock Martin

Vice President of Public Relations

Brock Martin has been a steadfast member of Black River FCCLA for three years, serving as a chapter officer all three years of membership! In addition, he is serving as the Ohio FCCLA Vice President of Public Relations. As Vice President of Public Relations, Brock consistently works to maintain clear communication between the officer team and our members, promoting events through Instagram and Remind. To expand our chapter's community presence, he also works to publicize our chapter in our community, preparing a monthly newsletter for our Board of Education meetings and sharing our chapter's accomplishments on the Black River Local Schools Facebook. During his time in FCCLA, Brock has competed in two STAR Events, qualifying and attending the National Leadership Conference both times. Outside of FCCLA, he is a member of NHS, Student Council, and the varsity cross country team. After high school, Brock plans to attend The Ohio State University to major in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance.
