Hello!

I am excited to have you this year in my class. A few things about me:

Inspiration:  In 10th grade, I was encouraged by my Spanish and French teachers to study different cultures and languages. At university, I eventually decided to study applied linguistics and pursue a teaching career.

Education: I graduated from Liberty University with a B.Ed in English as a Second Language P-12 with minors in French, Spanish, and Psychology.

Years of Experience: I have been teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) since 2022. In Virginia, I taught three years of high school ESL (within the contents of biology, earth science, and environmental sciences) to multilingual learners. This will be my second year teaching middle school ESL (6th-8th grades) in Tennessee at ECCA.

Teaching Philosophy:  I am deeply committed to language learning and believe that building strong English language skills can empower all students to thrive— Both in the classroom and in life beyond school. My goal for each student is to grow in their study of the English language no matter what level he or she is at- Whether or not, he or she is new to the United States or has been here for years.
