My name is John Gallagher & I have been teaching band for 34 years! I am currently in my 7th year of teaching at Eagleton College and Career Academy! I received my bachelors degree in music education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville & my masters degree in educational technology at Johnson University, Knoxville, TN. I have been married for 35 years to my wonderful wife, Karen Gallagher & I have three wonderful children: Anna-29, Nat-28 & Joe-22! I have a beautiful granddaughter, Maisie-24 months. I also have a wonderful son-in-law, Jeff McDonald, and two amazing daughter-in-laws: Alison & Alli.

Brittany Mackey is entering her second year of teaching at ECCA as assistant band director. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BM in music education and a BA in music and culture. At the University of Tennessee she marched in the Pride of the Southland and played in the University wind ensemble. After college her student teaching experience began at Gibbs High school and Middle School then concluded at Alcoa Elementary and Intermediate. Mrs. Mackey has teaching experience at each level but was previously at Norwood Elementary school teaching general music. She is actually an alumni of Eagleton and is excited to come back to work within her community at ECCA. She will be teaching general music classes at both the high school and middle school level as well as working with the band program. She is also excited to work with the choir and theater programs whenever she can! In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, and hanging out with her two dogs Molly and Pepper. She just welcomed her first child in December of  2024!
