About me...

I currently teach 7th grade math and 8th grade Pre-Algebra. I started teaching in 2004 and have spent my entire teaching career, 22 years, at Eagleton. I also coach Cross Country for ECCA. 

I was grateful and blessed to be nominated and awarded Middle School Teacher of the Year for Blount County Schools in January 2020. I was also the "teacher of the year" representative for Eagleton Middle School that same year and again in 23-24 for ECCA.

I am a single mom of two wonderful children, Caden (15) and Taylor (12). They are in 10th and 7th grade this year at ECCA and Montgomery Ridge Intermediate School, respectively. We are constantly on the go and thoroughly enjoy sports, being outside, and finding new and fun things to do! Our favorite places to visit are the beach and Atlanta Braves ballgames!

I went to Friendsville Elementary School in Blount County then moved to Las Vegas, NV when I was in the 7th grade (1992). I've lived in TN, NV, CA, and CO. I moved back to Maryville, TN in January 2002, where I finished my college career.

I graduated from Maryville College in 2004 and started teaching that same year. I also attended Lincoln Memorial University. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (2004) and a Master's degree in Administration and Supervision (2008).

My parents (Dad recently passed away, May 26, 2025) live in SC. My brother and sister-in-law live in Georgia. My sister lives in Las Vegas with my two nieces and two nephews. 

I am so lucky to be an Eagleton Royal and look forward to watching us grow as a community school that thrives in student success. We always challenge our students to be the best they can be every day! Personal best, nothing less!
