When is it? Thursday, March 13th (snow date is Thursday, March 20th)

Where is it? SRD’s Gym

How can I participate? Design a STEAM project that uses the engineering design process, conduct an experiment that uses the scientific method, or create an invention to solve a problem in your own life

Can I work with a partner? You can work alone or with a partner in the same grade!

What are the expectations?

Students choose a topic for their project from any of the four areas: science, technology, engineering, art, or math (or, a project that involves more than one of these areas!)  Projects are carried out and prepared entirely at home. A display board for the project presentation will need to be assembled as well.  Parents are openly permitted and encouraged to help their children with their projects at an appropriate level. For example, parents may help brainstorm or select ideas; supervise or assist in gathering information and materials, internet, help in carrying out an experiment, and assist in constructing an invention or assembling the display.  The STEAM Fair is a non-competitive event – each student’s participation will be recognized! 

I’m in! How do I up? Fill out the project proposal form attached and bring it to school by February 18.
