Fingerprintes & the State of New Jersey

Note that Bloomingdale Public Schools can NOT assist with your fingerprint process. This process is controlled by the State and you must apply and get clearance from the State. Further, BPSNJ has no way of logging in on your behalf to set up the appointment. 

The informaton set forth here is general inforamtion from the State of NJ.

1. Start on the Office of Student Protection page. 

2. Read the directions and select the option that best matches your situation.

3. Select that role and complete all of the directions. 

   • If you are a new applicant, you will be required to make an appointment at a fingerprint center and go with the required paperwork. All directions are on the State web site. 

Note that the page above also has contact information for the State. They are the only ones who can answer questions related to your process. 

Follow the guidance on the website but know that most fingerprint processing takes about 7 - 14 days AFTER you actually get your fingerprints & paperwork done. 

You should check online to determine if you fingerprints are ready and active. 

Once your fingerprints are complete you must print your document and submit it via the BPSNJ Employee portal. 

Additionally, you should email sstout@bpsnj.org to advise her that the fingerprints are completed.
