Overview
The Summer Academy at Bloomfield High School will take place over three weeks and will give students the opportunity for credit recovery for 1 failed course.
Daily virtual attendance for online class and conferencing is mandatory in order to issue credit. If the student does not have access to wifi at home they may choose to come to the high school for the three weeks.
There is no transportation provided.
All Students must register through PowerSchool, under forms and BHS Summer Programming.
Curriculum
Due to budgetary constraints the curriculum of the summer program will be provided through Edmentum online courses that closely align to the curriculum during the school year. Students must be currently enrolled in the course for the '25-'26 school year. Students will earn a pass (P) on their transcript if they successfully complete the summer course and credit will be issued. Credits earned will count towards graduation. A certified teacher will meet daily with students to assist with academics and course monitoring. Credit Recovery Agreement
To qualify for summer school credit recovery, students must have at least a 45 average for the year in the course they are looking to recover.
Students may enroll in one course over the summer.

SUMMER MATHLETE CONSORTIUM
Unlock your potential this summer with the Bloomfield High School Summer Mathlete Consortium — an exciting opportunity designed for students who are passionate about mathematics and ready to challenge themselves at the next level.
Over the course of this intensive two-week program, students will strengthen their mathematical thinking through advanced problem solving, targeted mathematics enrichment, and preparation for interscholastic math competitions. Participants will collaborate with peers who share a love for math while building the confidence, strategies, and critical thinking skills needed for academic success beyond the classroom.
Whether you are looking to sharpen your skills, compete at a higher level, or simply deepen your understanding of mathematics, the Summer Mathlete Consortium offers a dynamic and engaging experience that will inspire growth and excellence.

Cost: $200
Space is limited for this select program. Students with an interest and passion for mathematics are encouraged to apply early.
