Kashmir Chronicles   

Kashmiri Pandits are a group of Hindus that originate from Kashmir, a mountainous region that once was the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir but now has been divided among Pakistan, India, and China. Due to the effects of Partition in 1947, almost all Kashmiri Pandits after Independence resided in India's Kashmir until the violence in the 90s. Now, only a very small amount of the community presently lives in the valley, and the community is now spread out in the neighboring regions of Jammu, Delhi, other regions of northern India, and around the world, though there are bigger concentrations in the US and Britain, as those places historically have large Indian diaspora communities.
