DECA (w/Lakeland High School)
DECA is a professional and national co-curricular association for marketing and entrepreneurship students. The purpose of DECA is to help develop student leadership traits as well as to provide many opportunities for student growth. Students will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the marketing class, at the district, state, and national competitions.
DECA is an association of High School Marketing and Business students. It allows students to take what they learn in the marketing classroom and allows them to apply it to real world scenarios. In addition, DECA allows students to personalize their marketing curriculum. Currently more than 180,000 high school students are members of High School DECA with over 5,000 chapters operating in the United States, Canada and Germany. DECA's high school programs prepare future leaders in the career clusters of business administration, management, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, sales and service, and hospitality and tourism.
