Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. I hope you all enjoyed your summer! My name is Mrs. Katie Rodriguez and I will be your child’s new teacher. I would like to tell you a little about myself and my experience working with children. I graduated from Caldwell College with a degree in Special Education, Elementary K-5, Psychology, and Preschool – 3rd grade. I was a teacher at a preschool for 5 years, taught Preschool Disabled in Bloomfield for 3 years, and a paraprofessional in Bloomfield for two years. This will be my ninth year teaching an Emotional Regulation Impairment Class. I have also worked at the ESY summer program for the six years.

I am delighted to say that we will have three paraprofessional working in the classroom as well as myself. This is a great opportunity for all the children to receive the best learning environment possible. I look forward to meeting all of you and having a successful school year!
