• 1. 中英聽說流暢 （即席口譯）

  2. 中英讀寫流暢 （文稿筆譯）

  3. 英文讀寫流暢、不需要會中文（文稿校對）

參與時間： 每週0-4小時

工作内容/項目：

A. 即席口譯翻譯：

• • 1. 北加教室舉辦的活動和法會

    2. 師長、及法師對北加的開示

    3. 其他：機動性的需求 （申請翻譯支援的活動）

B. 文稿筆譯翻譯：

• • 1. 學員通知

    2. 有英譯的活動訊息

C. 提升翻譯水平：

• • 1. 定期共學

    2. 訓練課程

    3. 翻譯詞彙校對和統合

Motivation: Adhere to our gurus wish by sharing Master Tsong-Koa-Pa, Late Master, and Master ZengRu’s teaching to the English speakers. Enable more sentients beings to come to know the three jewels and to benefit from the teachings.

Qualification:

• 1. Fluent listening and speaking skills in both Chinese and English (simultaneous interpreting)

  2. Fluent reading and writing skills in both Chinese and English (document translation)

  3. Fluent reading and writing skills in English, no need to know Chinese in advance (document proofreading)

Time required: 0-4 hours/week

Volunteer work content:

A. Simultaneous Interpreting:

• • 1. Activities and dharma rituals held at North California classroom

    2. Venerable masters and dharma masters’ discourse to NC

    3. Others: Support upon request (interpreting-required activities)

B. Document Translation:

• • 1. Member notification

    2. Activities that need English translation

C. Advancing the translation quality:

• • 1. Regular dharma teaching discussion

    2. Training courses

    3. Translation glossary proofreading and integration
