PRIDE in All Settings

PREPARATION

  • Keep all needed materials in your possession

  • Get where you need to be on time

RESPECT

  • Use manners (please, thank you, excuse me, etc.)

  • Use appropriate voice level

  • Keep voice level at a “0” during announcements

  • Use kind and appropriate words; be courteous

  • Be mindful of personal space; respect others and their belongings

  • Clean up after yourself

  • Use THINK strategies to put an end to rumors/hearsay

INTEGRITY

  • Accept responsibility for your actions and words!

  • Use appropriate language

  • Report any safety concerns and bullying issues appropriately

DETERMINATION

  • Follow directions from staff

  • Lead by example

  • Do the right thing

  • Make good choices

  • Try twice before asking for help

ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Set a positive example for others

  • Maintain a positive influence on peers

  • Celebrate the success of others

  • Be accepting, patient, and understanding of others

PRIDE in Learning Spaces

PREPARATION

  • Enter the room with a positive and open mindset

  • Be seated when the bell rings

  • Have Chromebooks charged OR problem solve

  • Complete and turn in materials ON TIME

RESPECT

  • Use voice level that is only heard nearby (level defined by teacher)

  • Actively listen to teacher instruction

  • Actively listen during peer discussion


INTEGRITY

  • Be honest

  • Do your own work and hold others to the same standard

  • Follow through on your commitments


DETERMINATION

  • Follow classroom routines

  • Remain focused during class time

  • Accept constructive criticism / consequences


ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Challenge yourself to do your best work

  • Inspire others to do their best

  • Actively participate by

raising your hand, offering comments, and inviting others to participate

  • Assist students who have been absent


PRIDE in the Cafeteria

PREPARATION

  • Be aware of your account balance and communicate with parents

  • Get everything you need when you go through the line

RESPECT

  • Wait patiently in line

  • Respect other people’s property

  • Speak to others only at your table (no louder than level 3)

  • Stay seated, unless you need something or given permission

INTEGRITY

  • Hold your place in line / line up properly

  • Leave the cafeteria nicer than when you found it

DETERMINATION

  • Consume all food and beverages in cafeteria

  • Keep your hands and feet to yourself


ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Be a role model for those around you

  • Inspire others to keep the lunch area clean

  • Include others in lunch groups

PRIDE in Hallway/ Locker Area

PREPARATION

  • Have materials organized in your locker

  • Keep all unused items secured in your locker

RESPECT

  • Keep noise level down (voice level at a 2 or lower)

  • Close locker without slamming

  • Keep spaces and hallways clean (if you drop it, pick it up)

INTEGRITY

  • Walk responsibly to your destination

DETERMINATION

  • Walk responsibly to your destination

  • Walk swiftly and safely to your next class

  • Keep moving to avoid traffic jams

  • Secure your locker


ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Be an example by keeping the locker and hall areas clean

  • Motivate others to be on time


PRIDE in the Bathroom/ Locker Room

PREPARATION

  • Use passing times when possible for bathroom trips

  • Promptly change in and out of PE attire

  • Practice clean hygiene (shower, use deodorant daily, etc.)

RESPECT

  • Respect the privacy of others

  • Flush the toilet

  • Wash hands with soap and water

  • Keep spaces clean and leave it better than you found it

  • Report any problems to the staff immediately


INTEGRITY

  • Be prompt in returning to class when finished

  • Be where you say you’re going to be


DETERMINATION

  • Use time wisely

  • Avoid distracting others- to and from the bathroom

  • Complete your mission and return promptly


ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Inspire positive self-image

PRIDE on the Bus

PREPARATION

  • Arrive to your bus with all of your belongings

  • Wait patiently for the bus to come to a complete stop

  • Allow individuals to exit prior to boarding the bus

RESPECT

  • Walk to and from the bus

  • Voice Level 2; only talk to people seated with or near you


INTEGRITY

  • Follow driver’s expectations

DETERMINATION

  • Walk directly to a seat and sit down

  • Stay seated the entire ride

ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Motivate other students to demonstrate proper safety behavior

  • Demonstrate appreciation toward bus driver and other students



PRIDE in the Community

PREPARATION

  • Be prepared to represent yourself and our district

RESPECT

  • Make eye contact and respond when adults and others are speaking with you

  • Show respect and appreciation toward others in the community

INTEGRITY

  • Respect property of others

  • Obey laws

  • Always be polite and courteous


ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Same as "PRIDE in all Settings"


ENCOURAGEMENT

  • Inspire others to actively volunteer within the community

  • Demonstrate appreciation toward community members
