10th graders may present posters at the Somers Science Fair.
Students present, via posters in a competitive setting, their in-depth understanding of their own proposed research that they could conduct given proper resources and facilities, based on a thorough review of previous literature. The purpose is to demonstrate sound scientific thinking and insight, regardless of current mentor status.
11th graders with original research may present at the Regeneron Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF).
High school students from Westchester and Putnam Counties who have conducted original scientific research may present posters.
12th graders are expected to submit completed applications to Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS), and present at WESEF and the regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS)
Individual students compete for scholarships and recognition by presenting the results of their original research efforts before a panel of judges and an audience of their peers.
