Mrs. Gross

My name is Mrs. Gross. I am excited to be one of the School Counselors at Blair High School.

I have been in the Blair School District since 2001. I spent 14 years teaching Biology, Forensic Science and Human Anatomy-Physiology. Then I went to be the K-2 School Counselor for 5 years. I am originally from Carroll, Iowa and graduated from Carroll Kuemper High School in 1996. From there I went to Briar Cliff College (now University) to study Biology and Secondary Education. I graduated from Briar Cliff in 2001. I received a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College in 2005 and a Master of School Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2017.

There are three counselors at the high school. We see all students through classroom lessons, but split the student body by alphabet for individual monitoring. I work with students in grades 9-12 whose last names begin with the letters A-G. Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions regarding your child or the BHS School Counseling Program.
