School Counseling

Hello and welcome. I am Amy Sather, and I am the K-2 school counselor for Deerfield, North, and South primary schools.

I work with our K-2 students in the classroom, as well as individually and in small groups.

School counselors help students develop skills in the areas of academics, personal and social development, and career exploration and preparation. The Blair Community Schools' counseling program is built upon the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) model. Our school counseling program uses ASCA Mindsets and Behaviors to help develop all students' skills, knowledge, and attitudes that they need to achieve success in the academic, social/emotional, and career domains.
