Colleges

The two main colleges our pupils attend is Crosskeys and Ystrad Mynach. Around two thirds attend Crosskeys and between a quarter and a third attend Ystrad Mynach every year. These are not the only colleges our pupils have attended though, some have gone to Nantgarw and Cardiff & Vale College.

Some pupils have even attended private 6th form colleges, mainly Cardiff 6th Form College, Cardiff Academy and Atlantic College based on a scholarship.

If you are thinking of going to college you do need to apply online. If you have any problems we can help you apply and there will be representatives from all the colleges to help too. Applications for courses normally go live around November. Do not wait around too long as some courses do fill up and you will not be able to apply if the course is full. So if you need advice please ask.

6th Form

Quite a few of our pupils have attended local 6th forms. They are mainly Lewis Girls' School, Lewis School Pengam and Heolddu Comprehensive School. Over the last few years we have had a few pupils attending Bassaleg School.
