Real estate agents are professionals who assist home buyers and guide them through the negotiation process. As a real estate agent you may have to display and market real property to potential buyers, manage property auctions or exchanges, promote sales through advertisements, open houses and listing services. As well as this you may need to remain knowledgeable about real estate markets and best practices, intermediate negotiation processes, consult clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements and related matters, ensuring a fair and honest dealing and much more.
HOW TO BECOME A Real estate Agent
The main routes to get into this role are :
A university course- by gaining a degree in the relevant field.
An apprenticeship- you may be able to gain a relevant estate related apprenticeship.
UNIVERSITY OPTIONS
You will usually need 2-3 a levels to gain a relevant degree to support you and your career in real estate. A degree is not an essential entry requirement for this career but increasing competition for employment means that taking a degree in one of the following subjects may give you an advantage. Some degrees to consider are:

APPRENTICESHIP OPTIONS
You will usually need some GCSEs including english and maths for an immediate apprenticeship. However to progress on to attaining a degree apprenticeship in real estate you usually need grades 4-9 in maths and english plus a science subject. Most will also require you to have obtained 112 ucas points. There are only a few companies who offer real estate apprenticeships and there will usually be an interview process with this too.
