What is on offer?

"We have a new team of friendly employment advisers who work with you to ensure that you get support with things like CV writing, interview techniques, confidence building, arranging work experience placements, education and training and linking in with local job opportunities.


If you live in Blackpool, are currently unemployed and need any help with any of the above please do get in touch.  Our service is free and we are completely committed to helping young people in Blackpool to get on the right track.

Fleetwood and wyre provision

Fleetwood & Wyre Youth Hub

Fleetwood & Wyre Youth Hub is designed to support young people in the community with finding an exciting job, building their self confidence or get direction with developing new skills.

If you know a young person who has faced difficulty moving into work for the first time or struggled to gain relevant work experience, send them down to the hub where the team is ready to help.

What is on offer?

Fleetwood & Wyre Youth Hub is a project brought to Fleetwood by the Volunteer Centre Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde.

"Our main goal here is to support young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are looking for sustainable, long term work!"

The HealthWorks, 1 Clifton St (near Blackpool Town Hall) 

The Healthworks brings together a range of employment, health and lifestyle advice to help then gain and sustain jobs, as well as improve their overall health and well being.

They provide employment advice, self-employment advice, careers advice, online job searches, work placements and access to health coaches. They are based on Clifton Street, the former tourist information office at FY1 1JD T:01253 477300.

Private Exams at The Spanish Learning Centre.

We accept WJEC, AQA, Edexcel & Cambridge International (CIE).

Anyone who is studying online for functional skills/GCSE/IGCSE or A Levels can come to us at The Spanish learning Centre Blackpool and sit their exams with us. We are an accredited exam Centre and accept private candidates who wish to sit their exams with either AQA, WJEC, Edexcel or CIE (Cambridge international exams). Private candidates can sit any exam with us (providing there is no practical unit involved) i.e. any paper exams can be sat here.

Any special requests e.g. extra time for a medical/learning difficulty, work based learning exams can all be dealt with through our exams office.

We make the application process for our private candidates to apply for exams as straight forward as possible. In fact it can all be done online. We are one of the very few exam centres in the North West of England and know how difficult it can be to find a suitable centre to sit an exam as a private candidate.

The Kickstart Scheme is a Government scheme being introduced in Great Britain to fund the direct creation of high quality jobs for young people who are on Universal Credit and deemed to be at the highest risk of long-term unemployment. It will give young people the chance to build their confidence and skills in the workplace and to gain experience that will improve their chances of going on to find long-term, sustainable work. This will sit alongside a guaranteed foundation of support through an expanded Youth Offer delivered through the Department for Works and Pensions (DWP), providing a range of targeted support to help young people find lasting work.
