We are excited to invite your students to take part in our series of informative online taster lectures to help prospective students explore the huge range of subjects and career paths available at university.

Our webinars offer the opportunity for students to get a taste of the subjects and degrees they may wish to pursue, providing insights directly from our expert academics.

We have over 20 different sessions covering a wide range of disciplines, including:

Dentistry
Humanities
Law
Engineering
Science
Technology
Business
Primary Education
Social Sciences

Each webinar will provide valuable information on course content, career prospects, and university life, helping students make informed decisions about their future. The sessions are designed to be interactive, with opportunities for students to ask questions and engage directly with our team.

I am pleased to announce that our Teacher Champions Module has now launched on our Teachers Teams Community (TTC).

To join the TTC if you have not already please sign up using the form attached Teacher and advisor contact form

This exciting initiative is designed to equip teachers and advisors with key knowledge about the University of Dundee, Scotland and application guidance. Key modules include University of Dundee key courses, attractive scholarships on offer and the benefits of studying in Scotland.

Each module has a short quiz at the end of the slides with answers being able to be submitted on the attached MS Form. Each module will take approximately 10mins to complete and there are 5 modules.

Participants can complete all modules at once or can break them down into smaller bitesize chunks.

University of Dundee branded prizes and certificates will be sent to participants that complete the modules within one month of joining the Teams Teachers Community (TTC).

VIRTUAL CAREERS AMBASSADOR

Overview

A careers ambassador plays a vital role in your school or college. They’re responsible for promoting engagement with your careers programme and encouraging your peers to access all the support and information they need to make informed decisions about their next steps.

Have you been recruited as a careers ambassador for your school or college? Or, are you someone who wants to help support your peers in making decisions about their futures? If so, this training programme is for you!

Teaching Work Experience

Overview

When you think of teaching what do you think of? Your favourite teacher perhaps? Teaching is one of the most rewarding careers out there, but what goes into planning a great lesson and how do you keep your students safe and engaged? This teaching virtual work experience programme will put you at the top of the class.

What's included

We'll speak to a whole classroom of teachers, who teach from primary to university level, so you can get an idea of what teaching pathway best suits you. You'll take quizes along the way, to make sure you're paying attention and deserving of an A*.
