Who we are?
British Dressage is the governing body for the Olympic sport of Dressage and the Paralympic sport of Para-dressage. Each year we select teams to represent Great Britain at championships as part of Team GBR at senior, para, young rider, junior and pony levels. We oversee all affiliated dressage in the United Kingdom which incorporates around 18,500 members competing at 2,500 shows at 188 venues. We develop rules and policies which shape the sport. The images of top-level dressage riders executing intricate movements in a tailcoat may seem out of reach to some, but dressage is about so much more. The word 'dressage' comes from the French term, 'dresseur' meaning 'training' and adding just a few minutes of it into your daily routine can help in many ways.
If you aspire to riding and communicating with horses better, British Dressage apprenticeship is for you.
What we do?
Education and courses for riders, coaches, judges and stewards.
Developing volunteering opportunities for all.
Para Dressage - Great Britain has one of the most developed pathways for equestrian disability sport in the world, offering plenty of opportunities from grassroots right up to the world stage.
