Veolia is looking for a Chemist (Degree Level Apprenticeship) to join our team in Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will support the Commercial team and other departments, respond to customer requests and raising and scheduling work orders, also completing related administrative tasks as required and designated by the team,

- A minimum of 3 A levels grade C or above and English, Maths and Science GCSE at grade 4/C or above

Degree Apprentice Laboratory Technician Level 6 (Biosciences)

University of Liverpool


We are looking to recruit an individual who is passionate about starting their career as an degree apprentice laboratory technician within the University of Liverpool. You will work within the Institute of Systems, Molecular, and Integrative Biology and gain an understanding of what is involved in a technical career.


The training you will be getting

Level 6 - Laboratory Science (Bioscience) BSc Degree

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Alternatively, some individuals have opted to go to the postgraduate route to study further for a master's degree or PhD. Some have changed careers to become a teacher and more. There is no limit to this.

Victrex Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship

What is the role?

In this role you will plan and deliver practical experimental work and maintain laboratory assets in support of the development of new and existing materials, processes and technologies. 

This role will particularly focus upon supporting our composite materials initiatives, and their deployment to our customers. Supporting our Quality Control development work for these materials, you will generate and capture data in accordance with data standards to ensure validity of experimental results.

Laboratory Technicians are trusted to work safely in a lab environment, follow best practice health and safety and quality procedures in order to appropriately meet the requirements of their job role.

You will complete a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship via our trusted training provider at Blackpool & the Fylde College.

The duration of this Apprenticeship is approximately 24 months and if successful, you will join our 2024 Apprenticeship Intake in September.

What I need for this role?

What you will be doing?

A DTS Degree apprenticeship involves working and learning alongside experienced practitioners. It combines spending periods of time at University, where you will acquire an Honours Degree, with time working on real projects, enhancing the skills necessary to develop a long career in the industry. 

The scheme will see you specialising in Data Analytics.

This will see you learning skills and knowledge associated with Data Analytics such as how to collect, organise and study data to provide new business insight and improvements, particularly where information helps us and our customers achieve mission effectiveness.  You will provide up-to-date, accurate and relevant data analysis for the organisation, as well as how to manage, cleanse, abstract and aggregate data across the network infrastructure. You will get a good understanding of data structures, software development procedures and the range of analytical tools used to undertake a wide range of standard and custom analytical studies, providing data solutions to a range of business issues.

Through this combination of academic study and real work experience, you will become a valued member of the team.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship. Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

What University will I go to?

Cranfield University Milton Keynes 3- 4 times per year with travel paid for and virtual lessons weekly at your normal place of work. 

What Qualification will you get?

By the end of the apprenticeship you will obtain:
