Sky News
are recruiting voluntary producers for the General Election on the 4th of July
We would like to offer students the opportunity to apply to take part in our digital camera project. This includes filming at the count location and inputting results into a Sky News built app. Our aim is to have a Sky News representative at each declaration.
We will be able to pay £150 for each student involved in our coverage.
Please can you share this with anyone who might be interested in applying? The more the merrier!

From Glastonbury to 80s Rewind. Creamfields to Bloodstock, the UK's festival scene is renowned worldwide for being exciting, vibrant and full of life. While the cost of the best events can quickly add up, we provide volunteering opportunities that allow you to see your favourite acts without the expense.
Make new friends, gain valuable experience and see the very best perform. We've got over 15 years experience helping the biggest events across the UK run smoothly. It's our goal to provide an inexpensive way for music fans to enjoy festivals, whilst at the same time providing a first class service to festival organisers.

The festival is always delighted to welcome new volunteers to its ranks.
You can spend as much or as little time stewarding as you like during festival activities. The shortest duty would be a single morning or afternoon (about 3 hours). Whatever your availability or energy level you are more than welcome to become part of the LPA Festival.

When we think of music technology careers, the first jobs that spring to mind include producing number one hits in a recording studio or engineering our favourite bands in live concerts. There is however many other equally rewarding and exciting career routes available to music technology graduates. If we consider the digital tools that augment our daily lives such as mobile phones, c- INtroud computer games consoles and online video platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime we can see that music and audio plays an integral role.

Unscripted TV programmes open
New programmes funded by the Unscripted TV Skills Fund are now open for applications. A step up to development producer programme aims to build creative, diverse, and fully inclusive development teams. The development researcher and edit assistant/technical operator programmes both include paid placements with an unscripted company to give delegates the knowledge, skills and confidence to move into these specialised roles. As part of the Unscripted TV Skills Fund's Connect & Inspire strands, ScreenSkills is partnering with the Royal Television Society Scotland for The Big Connection, a chance for those working in TV or interested in joining the chance to meet and connect with each other and some of the leading production companies in Scotland. New training for children's TV
A range of new online courses are available to book for those working in children's TV. Find out more, including details on how to book, via the links below. These are in addition to the usual Get the Knowledge, Leadership and Management and Movie Magic courses already available to book.
Leadership and management essentials
This bespoke course, delivered by industry experts and executive coaches, is designed for HODs and managers in HETV, animation and children's TV to receive guidance on how to get the best from their teams. It will offer support on how to address underperformance, deal with bullying and harassment, work inclusively and improve diversity of productions.
New training in post-production and VFX
Applications are now open for the HETV Leading Effective Teams in Post & VFX training. This course, specially created for professionals, aims to give relevant, practical, supportive ideas and insights that busy team leaders and managers can put into practice right away.
