Working alongside offenders, enabling them to pick, pack, and distribute orders. Apprentices will play an integral and empowering role in offender's lives, where you will work with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation in a warehouse environment.

As part of the Level 6 Supply Chain Degree  Apprenticeship, they will complete the learning on campus at Aston University and on-site learning at their dedicated DHL Supply Chain site.

LEYLAND TRUCKS 


Vacancies for September 2024 Apprenticeship Opportunities are now open.

Leyland Trucks are ecruiting 28 apprentices this year across a range of business areas. 

They will be offering 23 Level 3 and 4 apprenticeships which are applicable to those who have achieved at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (A*-C) in Maths, English and Science. There are two Level 3 apprenticeships - Assembly Operative (12 posts) and Business Administration (1 post). The Level 4 Apprentices are Automotive Engineer (8 posts), Facilities & Maintenance (1 post) and Fabrication & Welding (1 post). 

Applicants for the other 5 apprenticeship positions will need to have achieved a relevant Level 3 qualification (equivalent to 96 UCAS points) in addition to at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including Maths, English (and a Science for Design). These apprenticeships are Design Engineering Degree Apprenticeship 3posts) and Project Management Degree Apprenticeship (2 posts).

BAE SYSTEMS - Degree Apprentice Air Project Control Samlesbury Warton

What you will be doing

Consisting of work experience through five separate, year-long placements, together with an Honours Degree in Project Control, what better way to start your career in Project Control.  

The work experience and degree will provide the skills and experience in; planning & scheduling, data assurance, analysis techniques, estimating, progress & performance measurement and forecasting, amongst others. We, as a business, are looking to develop the project controllers of the future who can architect and work together to mobilise and deliver a project control environment for some of the most complex national and international projects in the world.

Working in Project Control means you will be the beating heart of a given project, ensuring that the plans, schedules and risk management is in place for the project.  Analysis of the progress against those plans and schedules will be your responsibility; providing regular updates and recommendations to the wider project team. 

A Pilot cannot fly without detailed and up-to-date information from the Navigator; and you would be that Navigator in the project world. 

The understanding of the projects performance, looking at trends, highlighting potential issues, forecasting prospective outcomes, identification of mitigating actions and recommendations to the project team will enable the project to be delivered to time, cost and quality (the key facets of any project).  The Project Control Programme will develop, test and mature all of these skills.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship.  Following this, leave will be considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

What Qualification will you get?

Attending college one day each week at an external academic provider’s facilities, you will not only study the Degree Apprenticeship but also for an Honours Degree in Project Control. 

You will study at Blackpool and the Fylde College, once a week during term time.

What you will be doing?

This is a five year scheme. Through five annual work placements you will learn and demonstrate skills required to successfully manage our complex projects and programmes including; communication, schedule management, budgeting and cost control, stakeholder management, risk management and project governance. Over 50% of those undertaking the Honours degree in Project Management, graduate with a first class Honours degree. 

Working in Project Management means you will be the eyes and ears of a given project, ensuring it is delivered on time, to cost and of the required quality. You will gain a broad view across the project and will be able to demonstrate the elements needed to make it a success. This depends on understanding the big picture, recognising the key issues, making effective decisions and driving actions to their conclusion. What Qualification will you get?

Attending college one day each week at an external academic provider’s facilities, you will not only study the Degree Apprenticeship but also for an Honours degree in Project Management. In addition, you will also gain the APMPMQ qualification from the Association of Project Management.

You will study at Blackpool and the Fylde College, once a week during term time.

AMAZON - Chartered Management degree apprenticeship 

BITESIZE BRIEF:This role will help you to develop strategic decision making, setting direction and achieving results, building and leading teams, clear communication, developing skills and motivating others, fostering inclusive and ethical cultures, leading change, project management, financial management, innovation, risk management, & developing stakeholder relationships. You already identify yourself as a leader and want to further hone your skills in order to take yourself to the next level as a professional.

SCHEME TABLE:

Location: Various locations in England and Scotland

Programme Duration: 3 - 3.5 years

Qualification & Level: BA (Hons) Business Management Professional Degree or BSc (Hons) Responsible Business Management, and Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship standard, plus Chartered Manager status from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Weekly Working Hours: Full-time shift pattern - 40 hour working week. This will include weekend and/or night shift working.

Office Type: Warehouse operations environment

Training Breakdown: Workshop based including in-person training and online virtual classrooms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2 x A levels at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)

AMAZON Buying and Merchandising- Level 4 Apprenticeship

BITESIZE BRIEF: This role will require you to collate, distribute and analyse sales and performance reports, identifying trends, trading patterns and highlighting anomalies. You will communicate and escalate findings appropriately. You will also work collaboratively to contribute to the delivery of department/company sales and profit targets.

Location: London, Manchester

Programme Duration:  24 months

Qualification & Level: Apprentices will gain the L4 Apprenticeship standard in Buying and Merchandising

Weekly Working Hours: Apprentices will work a 40-hour working week Mon to Fri

The positions will be based in a Corporate Office.

Training Breakdown:

Apprentices will attend and complete modules in order to completing all Knowledge Skills behaviours culminating in an independent End Point Assessment.

The training is delivered in mix of remote and f2f sessions

Each week Apprentices will be allocated time away from their day to day roles to work on their Apprenticeship studies. You will spend approximately 80% of your working week learning from skilled members of the team whilst supporting learning on the job.

5 x GCSE’s at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English

You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship

You will be responsible for all things ’people’ related; supporting employees throughout their time with the business with anything from changing the way people work, to helping them through difficult personal or professional issues, to working with managers in the business to tackle complex business challenges.

Level 5 CIPD.

You will be attending university once every 3-4 weeks, this will be a hybrid approach, occasionally attending in person at Blackpool and the Fylde College.

5 GCSE A*- C or 4-9 (or equivalent) including Maths and English & 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 point old system), or equivalent (excluding UCAS points gained at AS level)
