Clearing 2023 – Priority Pass
For 2023, we are offering students the opportunity to sign up for our Clearing Priority Pass. As a Priority Pass holder, they will have access to a range of benefits, including:
An exclusive Clearing phone number that puts them at the front of the queue when they ring. We'll send these details through the post once the student signs up.
A priority place in our outbound calling queue on results day (17th August). This means we'll call them, and other students who have a priority pass, first to help them make an application.
Access to a special enquiry form that puts them to the front of the queue if they have a question before they get your results. This means that they will receive a quicker response and get their questions answered faster.
A series of Clearing emails with hints and tips to help them prepare. These emails will be sent periodically in the lead-up to Clearing, providing valuable information and advice.
We hope these resources will help students to navigate the Clearing process and increase their chances of securing a place at university.

On-campus Higher Education Exhibition - Wednesday 15th September 2021 - Book your places here

We will need to receive a minimum number of bookings to be able to run this event successfully, so we are opening bookings from now and will confirm by the end of June if we have received the minimum required to go ahead.
In the meantime we will continue to closely follow the developments of the government roadmap and any further guidance, but we hope to see you at this event and going forward.

The Wisdom Tooth presents The Day of the Dentist – a fantastic one day workshop aimed
at secondary school students and sixth-formers thinking about pursuing a career in
dentistry.
We know that deciding upon your future career is often a daunting, confusing and
stressful time. Here at The Wisdom Tooth we aim to help you make the most important
decision of your academic career so far by providing you an insight into what to expect
from undergraduate dentistry and dentistry as a career.

gaining any meaningful form of hands-on experience can be difficult. As such this day
aims to provide invaluable practical experience in some of the key disciplines of
undergraduate dentistry. We will also cover the basics of dental anatomy, history-taking
and clinical examination.
This is aimed to give you a better understanding of the dental undergraduate experience
and in doing so give you an edge when applying for dental undergraduate programmes.
Time will also be given to demystify the dental undergraduate application process and

Virtual Masterclasses
'Expert Witness' - Police Officer witness statements
Date: 17th December 11am – 12pm
This masterclass will introduce students to the processes and procedures by which Police Officers gather and provide primary evidence in written statement form.
Whilst this begins with what they see and hear when dealing with an incident, it is the ability to identify criminal activity and offence 'points to prove', recall and record the actions and speech of themselves and others, and bring a heightened level of attention to detail to their reports, which will enable them to produce high quality written 'expert witness' statements.
Accurate and detailed Police Officer witness statements are a crucial factor in securing convictions in a court of law; this session is designed to introduce and inform attendees of the complexity of this process.
The amazing thing about our Masterclasses is the opportunity they give your students opportunity to explore and discuss topics they’re interested in with professionals, academics and other like-minded students too! As an added bonus, attendance at our Masterclasses is rewarded with reduced offers on future applications to related subjects at the University of Cumbria (T&Cs available on our website here)
