OFSTED outstanding in all areas
Students and staff at Blackpool Sixth are delighted to announce that Ofsted has awarded the college ‘Outstanding’ status once again. This follows a full inspection of the college in December 2021.
The report published on the Ofsted website is full of praise for the college, its students, staff and governors. The inspectors said that, ‘Students find the college a truly aspirational place to learn’ and praised the ‘calm, professional and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and can flourish.’

National acclaim for Futures team
The Blackpool Sixth Futures team who deliver the college’s careers education, information, advice and guidance service (CEIAG) has received national attention for the excellence of their work. The work of the team and the wider provision the college has to support student progression features in the latest edition of a joint newsletter from The Careers and Enterprise Company and the Association of Colleges.
