Always begin with a Restart
Should you encounter an issue with any of the following items listed below, always begin troubleshooting with:
Checking you are connected to the internet (wired or wifi)
Restart your machine (turning your machine off and on) before contacting IT Support. Sometimes your machine simply requires a reboot and will function accordingly.
Issues you can self-troubleshoot before reaching out to IT Support.
You are not able to connect to Remote Desktop (RDC)
You are not able to connect to the server
You are not able to connect to any services and/or apps
You are not able to connect to the internet
Your audio and/or video is not working
Forced Reboot
If your machine sits in a thinking state when logging onto your machine or during use. Try a Hard Reboot.
Press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds. The computer will shut off. No lights should be on. If lights are still on, unplug the power cord.
Wait 30 seconds.
Push the power button to turn the computer on again.
