Portable Refrigerator

Over the years it is found that the conversion from electrical energy to cool energy and controlling it, is a fractious task and this also takes more power consumption, since the conversion needs a heavy component like compressor and condenser. One of the major applications embracing the above conversion in our day-to-day life is Refrigerator and it is the only electrical appliance that is switched on continuously. The refrigerator itself takes around 50% of the total current consumed in a day. By the way it is hard to make the refrigerator as portable with the use of components like compressor and condenser. On the other hand, the chlorofluoro carbon (CFC) released from the refrigerator causes damage to the environment and also spoils the human health and causes many kind of diseases such as cataracts, weakens immune system and skin cancer. Thermoelectric refrigeration puts forth a way to achieve so, by means of Peltier effect - A voltage is applied across joined conductors to create an electric current. When the current flows through the junctions of the two conductors, heat is removed at one junction and cooling occurs. This kind of refrigeration doesn’t involve emission of harmful gases like CFC and it also enhancing performance of the refrigeration systems.

Water Management System

Water is the most important natural resource in human day today life. Human being needs water not only for drinking but also for cooking, washing, irrigation, etc. People have been abusing and misusing water since long. This work puts forth an idea to provide a solution for water management effectively and efficiently. The growing demands of water in urban areas due to the increased population and the lack of standardization among the water distributors lead to affect the quality and quantity of drinking as well as domestic water. Here raises the special concern towards the water wastage and to improve the efficiency in the water distribution system. The various advancements in the sensor technologies provide solution to overcome these challenges. This paper presents the system which will continuously monitor and analyze the quality and quantity of water being dispensed through the flow sensor and pH sensor and also allows the user to customize their limits. The sensors data streams online, get summarize and co-relate rapidly by means of IoT for the ease of billing. This system cuts down the water flow and also notifies the user when the water usage exceeds the limit and there is an anomalous water quality in the distribution system.
