Bannari Amman Institute of Technology - IEEE Student Branch was established in the year 2005. Over the years the strength of the section has grown steadily, and it aims at helping students recognize real- world challenges and nurture innovative ideas of students by mentoring their implementation approach. Students from our branch have won IEEE-Student Enterprise Award for their project “FPGA Model of Fuzzy (PD) controller for Insulin pumps in Diabetes” during the year 2008. IEEE-BIT won Best Student Branch Award in the year 2016. Members of IEEE BIT are active participants in national and international level hackathons and involve in multiple projects. IEEE, an association dedicated to advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity, is the world's largest technical professional society. To foster an interest in the engineering profession, the IEEE also serves student members in colleges and universities around the world.
