As you probably expected, for the making a mask category you will need to make a mask. The details of what is required for each age group is detailed below. There is not a requirement for you to perform in your mask for this challenge, but you can use it for the mask performance challenge if you wish to.  

The masks can be made for any performance that you wish to choose. 

Below the descriptors on this page there are also some examples of entries to help you, these are given as example only and are not meant to be templates, feel free to present your work in a way that works for you.

Age 5-7 

You need to submit a picture of your mask with details of which character and which show it has been made for.  Maximum 1 page

Age 8-10 

You need to submit a picture of your mask with details of which character and which show it has been made for. You must also give a short paragraph explaining how you made the mask - you can include pictures of the process if you wish to support this. Maximum 2 pages.

Age 11-14

You need to submit a picture of your mask with details of which character and which show it has been made for. You must also include an explanation of how you made the mask, and why you chose the design, materials and method that you did. You can include pictures of the process if you wish to support this. Maximum 3 pages

Age 15+

You need to submit a picture of your mask with details of which character and which show it has been made for. You must also include an explanation of how you made the mask, and why you chose the design, materials and method that you did. You can include pictures of the process if you wish to support this. Maximum 3 pages
