Meraki is organized into sections by genre, purely for giving the reader the feeling of browsing through a book store and reading what each genre has to offer. At the beginning of each genre, we each created a character to represent that section, with the character on the cover embodying all that creative stories have to offer. We hope that, in reading this, you get the impression of the student-created book store we attempted to create.

Beyond the formatting, we wanted this book to embody the efforts put into it, and all of the students that make up the creators of it. The title, Meraki, is a word we chose carefully to capture all the ideas we put into our stories. It was given its name because of the dedication and the time poured into it.

Meraki is a word with many meanings. Often used by modern Greeks, Meraki is the act of pouring your soul into your creations. It describes what happens when you leave a piece of yourself, of your soul, in your work. More importantly, it defines how the piece of ourselves we leave behind impacts the people who come across it.
