This will be Ms. Henson's 8th year teaching and all 8 have been spent teaching at Bismarck Elementary. Ms. Henson teaches ELA to all 5th graders as well as Science and Social Studies to her homeroom class. As well as teaching 5th grade, Ms. Henson also coaches junior varsity volleyball, varsity girls basketball, and is the assistant varsity softball coach.

Ms. Henson graduated from Bismarck in 2009. She attended Mineral Area College on a softball scholarship and went on to attend Williams Baptist College to further her softball career and graduate with her Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. She is currently completing her Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Southeast Missouri State University.

Ms. Henson resides in Bismarck. Her parents, brother, and sister-in-law are also all residents of Bismarck. She has a niece named Mallory with whom she enjoys spending her time off with. Along with being close with her family, Ms. Henson also has a dog named Sully.

Ms. McFarland or more often known as Ms. Mac has been teaching at Bismarck for a total of 11 years, and ten of those have been in 5th grade. Ms. Mac will be teaching all of this years 5th graders Math, as well as Science and Social Studies to her homeroom class. Ms. Mac also coaches Bismarck's varsity volleyball team. Teaching and coaching has always been Ms. Mac's passion and although this year may look a little different from the norm that passion to teach and coach kids will still be a huge part of her!

Ms. Mac graduated from Central High School in 2007, and continued her pursuit of education at Mineral Area College on a volleyball scholarship. After receiving an Associate's Degree from MAC, she then received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Central Methodist University.

When Ms. Mac is not teaching or coaching she is spending time with her family! She has an amazing fiancé (Ethan), a 12 year old son (Owen), a 6 year old daughter (Lux), and a nine month old Chocolate Lab puppy (Blair). They keep her life full of love and laughter every single day!
