My name is Mr Gaunt and I am Assistant Principal in charge of Deep Learning. I have been at Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth for nearly 2 years and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and having the opportunity of working with the fantastic students we have here. Hello, I am Mrs Rudd. I am SENDCo at Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth which means I have extra responsibilities to ensure all our students with additional needs are supported. I have been at the academy for 4 years and I teach History. I will be involved with your transition to secondary school and I am looking forward to meeting you all in September.

Hi my name is Miss Ryan. My job is to carry out interventions that you may require and to bridge the gap between home and school.
Miss Mcguire
My name is Miss McGuire and I am the Inclusion Coordinator at Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth. I look after the day to day running of inclusion and make sure students have the support they need to succeed. You will see and hear lots of me around the academy at social times and I am always happy to help. I am also part of the safeguarding team and that means I have an important role in keeping children safe.

My name is Mrs Armstrong and I am the Welfare Officer at Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth.
My job is to make sure you attend school every day and that you feel happy and safe coming in.

Mrs Barker
Hi everyone. I have worked at Bishopsgarth since 2016, firstly in the food department as a technician and then as a teaching assistant. I support pupils with SEND needs like ASD, hearing impairment…. and I deliver intervention programmes. In the school I currently work with all year group students, and I support a year 7 VMG tutor group. I also work for Daisy Chain helping children with Autism access the centre. I love to be creative by sewing and cooking.
Mrs Atkinson
Hi, my name is Mrs Atkinson. I came here as a Teaching Assistant after working at Whitehouse as a Teaching Assistant.
I work with all students in most year groups. I enjoy textiles, food and art lessons especially.
Miss Bennett
Hi, I’m Mrs Bennett and I have worked in the school for a number of years. I work with all year groups from 7 to 11.
When not at work I like walking my dogs.
Miss Fityo
I am Miss Fityo and I’m a teaching assistant here at Bishopsgarth.
I’ve been a TA for about 6 years. Firstly within a nursery and then year 2 of primary school with the last 4 years being in secondary school. I absolutely love animals of any description and dislike any kind of animal cruelty. I love camping and going to festivals but also love going to Ibiza so feel like I’m a bit of a hippy at heart. I look forward to meeting you all in September
