Kate Pflanz (Class of 2026), Editor-in-Chief
Kate Pflanz is a Senior at O'Connell. She enjoys baking, reading, and biking. Kate is editing and writing for The Visor because she loves being involved in the O'Connell community and reporting on events occurring there and beyond for others to learn about. She also loves writing and staying involved in media publications. Some fun facts about Kate are that she has a golden retriever, is a middle child, and lives just down the street from O'Connell.
Vanessa Aragon (Class of 2026), Campus Ministry Editor
Aragon is a senior who participates in various clubs around the school. She plans to major in marketing and minor in Journalism for college, which is why she is participating in helping the Visor learn more about journalism.
Erin Casey (Class of 2026), Pop Culture Editor
Casey is a senior at Bishop O'Connell and a member of the Varsity Swim & Dive Team. She is excited to write for the Visor and plans to study Broadcast Journalism in college, extending her love of writing into her future career.
Kelly Pham (Class of 2026), Arts Editor
Kelly Pham is a senior at Bishop O’Connell High School who transferred from Vietnam during her junior year. Currently, she serves as the Arts Editor for The Visor, the student newspaper. Kelly’s passion for writing stems from her love of reading and creative expression. She also enjoys exploring visual arts, which led her to focus on the arts section of the school newspaper. After graduation, Kelly hopes to move to California for college. She plans to major in English and continue developing her skills as a writer.
Phillip Conrad (Class of 2026), Web Content Manager
Conrad is a senior at Bishop O'Connell. He has always been interested in storytelling and thought The Visor was a great place to show that talent. He enjoys playing basketball and video games in his free time.
Monroe Duff (Class of 2027), Podcast Content Editor
Duff is a transfer student who just joined O'Connell this year. He is writing for The Visor because he wants to study sports journalism/broadcasting in college. His favorite sport is baseball, and his favorite team is the Washington Nationals. Duff loves nothing better than watching college football all day long.
Maggie Reifsnyder (Class of 2027), Opinions Editor
Maggie Reifsnyder is a junior and a current opinion columnist for The Visor. She joined journalism to learn more about the changing world around her and to strengthen her writing, particularly in argumentative and persuasive styles. In her free time, Maggie enjoys baking and practicing yoga. A fun fact about her is that she hopes to become a certified yoga instructor in the future.
Bella Derasmo (Class of 2026), Sports Editor
Derasmo is a senior at Bishop O’Connell and the Sports Editor for The Visor. She enjoys writing for the student paper because she likes educating others, as well as herself, on O’Connell news. Derasmo has played three years on the O’Connell Women’s Basketball team, and in her free time enjoys going to the gym, watching football and basketball, and being outdoors.
Macie Murray (Class of 2027), NoVa Life Editor
Macie is a Student athlete at Bishop O'Connell on the varsity volleyball team. She is very excited to be a part of The Visor and to spread awareness, kindness, and amusement to the Bishop O'Connell community.
Amaya Kohli (Class of 2028) Feature Editor
Kohli is a sophomore transfer this year who enjoys cheerleading, watching football, and studying political science. She is excited to write for the Visor this year and pursue her love of journalism.

Paul Manetto (Class of 2026), Club President and Features Reporter
Paul Manetto is a Senior and a year-round runner at Bishop O'Connell, part of the leadership teams of Knights for Life and European Culture Club, and a coach for the Saint Joe's Track Team and Hunters Creek Swim Team. He hopes the Visor gives students an exciting look into their school.
MJ Selwood (Class of 2028), Club Vice President and Sports Reporter
MJ Selwood, a sophomore at Bishop O’Connell, is a member of the JV soccer team, track team and a multitude of clubs. She is so excited to be a part of the Visor this year because she enjoys writing and can't wait to share her articles with the readers.

Lily Salva is a sophomore who plays varsity soccer and enjoys reading, writing, sports, and playing the guitar. She is excited to be one of your reporters this year and cannot wait for the upcoming editions of the Visor.

Mairin Dziepak is a sophomore at Bishop O'Connell who enjoys drawing and visual arts, cross country, creative writing, and track. She enjoys talking about athletics and believes this is the perfect way to discuss topics from the students' unique perspectives.
Kelly Plante (Class of 2028), Club Secretary and Arts Reporter
Kelly Plante is a sophomore involved with the library club, theatre tech, and softball at Bishop O'Connell, also helping coach younger players through HRYS clinics. She is looking forward to helping others learn more about the events at DJO and becoming even more involved with the school through the Visor.

Andreas Millradt is a sophomore who is excited to cover the sports section of the Visor. In addition to writing for the Visor, Andreas also plays baseball, loves watching sports, and enjoys playing guitar in his rock band "Pocket Threes."

Kailee “Kay” Kunchick is a senior at O'Connell. She enjoys singing the national anthem at the school's sports games. She is writing this year because she loves entertaining people through her work in writing and performing arts.

Virginia (Ginny) Fontana is a senior who has been a photographer since her sophomore year and has been part of The Visor club since junior year. She manages various school media pages @djo_chorus, @djoaasa, and @fiat_djo, is a Co-President for Chem Club, runs WDJO Morning News, and records assemblies. Marie Houston Zanetti (Class of 2029), Features Reporter
Marie Houston Zanetti is a freshman at Bishop O’Connell who is in various clubs throughout the school. She joined the Visor in order to develop her communication skills, connect with more people, and have an opportunity to express her ideas through writing. Some fun facts about Marie is that she has a pet leopard gecko, and is the oldest of three.

Megan Holmes is a sophomore who discovered her passion for writing through short stories, and became curious about writing for the newspaper, and decided "Why not?" Whenever she has the time, she loves singing, hanging out with friends and anything to do with theatre!

Will Perryman is a sophomore on the Cross Country, Spring and Winter Track teams, a fluent speaker of French and enjoys studying classical economics. Perryman joined the Visor to gain a new experience at Bishop O'Connell.
