Who can join?
Anybody. Literally anybody.
Does the Knights for Life take any political positions outside of issues relating to the sanctity of life or align itself with any political party?
No! The only issue advocated for by the KFL is that abortion, euthanasia and the death penalty must be abolished and that every life has dignity. The club takes views that can be traditionally conservative (opposition to abortion, euthanasia) and traditionally liberal (care for mothers, abolition of the death penalty), with members from across the ideological spectrum.
Can I get service hours?
Yes, in certain instances. Both the national and state March for Life count for around three service hours, with other opportunities potentially being available during meetings. This is categorized under burying the dead for Christian Service.
How can I get more involved?
Join a committee, talk with the officers about an idea you have, ask what supplies are needed for certain meetings. There is no shortage of ways to help!
How do I know when the meetings are?
Meetings are usually every other Tuesday, subject to change. A reminder email will be sent out ahead of time, dates should be posted to this site, check in with Dr. Sloan to double check?
When and where are meetings?
Room 144, Dr. Sloan's room, almost always during Knight Time (specific groups may meet after school). 144 is in the hallway across from the cafeteria, directly across from the side entrance to the auditorium.Â
What is the commitment?
As much or as little as you want. If you want to come to every meeting and be a part of our extracurriculars, by all means let's go! If you only attend one meeting that looks interesting or you just want something to do during Knight Time, perfectly fine as well.
