WINKS Volleyball Club was founded by Suzanne Winkler in 2008 to allow players the opportunity to grow and excel in the game of volleyball both indoor and beach. Suzanne Winkler began playing volleyball in high school, continued at Marymount University, VA and played professional in Washington DC. While playing at Marymount she accumulated many accolades including; Captain (1999,2000), All-Tournament (Gallaudet, Franklin & Marshall, Bridgewater, Messiah), All Conference 1st Team (1999, 2000), All State 1st Team (1999, 2000), AVCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region 1st Team (2000), Marymount Hall of Fame (2008). After moving to Jacksonville, she became the Head Coach at Bishop Kenny HS in 2003. For the past 22 years her coaching career has been filled with many achievements including 2 State Championship, 3 State Silver Medalists, 16 State Final Four Appearances and 22 consecutive District Championships. Suzanne was award Coach of the Year by the AVCA (2013, 2014, 2021) and her team was ranked #6 in the Nation by Max Prep Tour of Champions.
In 2019 Suzanne started a beach volleyball program at Bishop Kenny. In its inaugural season the team advanced to the State Final Four, unfortunately the next season was discontinued due to COVID-19, and in the 3rd season the team was State Runner-up with a record of 21-1. Now an official FHSAA sport, the Bishop Kenny beach team has advanced to the State Tournament each season.
Suzanne's passion and dedication to the sport of volleyball is evident in her training and player development. Her belief is that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.
