We are excited to expand our Professional Learning schedule for the 2026–2027 school year by adding a second Knowledge in Action conference. In addition to our annual event in January, we will introduce a Knowledge in Action Conference during the fall semester, a half-day experience that includes all the elements you’ve loved about the full conference in a more condensed format.
Event Details:
Date: Monday, September 21, 2026
Location: Cedar Creek High School
Time: 8:20 am - 11:30 am (Check-in opens at 7:45 am)
We encourage both returning presenters and new voices to participate. If you presented previously, we hope you’ll join us again. If you’ve been considering it but haven’t submitted a proposal yet, this is your opportunity to step in and share your expertise with colleagues across the district.
Professional learning sessions will be 50 minutes in length. Proposals should align with one of the following topics:
Classroom Management
Parent Engagement
Data and Assessment
Instructional Strategies
Building Responsive Classrooms
Leadership
If you have any questions, please contact Chris Lairscey at clairscey@bisdtx.org.
