Reading Levels & Strategies

There are 3 parts that make up your child’s reading level: Accuracy, Fluency, and Comprehension.

-Accuracy is reading words correctly.

-Fluency is the speed read with proper intonation and flow.

-Comprehension is understanding what was read.

Your child's reading teacher will determine your child’s instructional reading level and will send home guided reading books so they may practice and become independent on that level.

Our end of the year goal is to end on a level J!
