About Me
Hello kinder students and family! I look forward to getting to know you this year as we work, play and learn together.This will be my 25th year to teach Kindergarten and I still LOVE IT!! I started my career in Dallas and then took a few years off to be with my three children. I taught private kinder in Rockwall, then moved to Burleson 17 years ago. My three children, Jacob and twins Kyle and Rebecca, all graduated from Burleson High and I am so proud to say that they also all graduated from Texas A&M well! My father is also an Aggie so that makes my children 3rd generation Aggies! When I am not teaching and working at school,I like to spend time with my husband of almost 4 years, my dear MOM and DAD and of course my children and stepson Justin. I am often asked about my "favorites" so here is a short list: COLOR- all shades of green DRINK-Gatorade 2, and not sweet coffee, ice tea FOOD-Mexican and all kinds of snack and of course chocolate and DONUTS HOBBIES- plants, shopping, antiques, painting furniture AND my little dog Ruthie BCOMMUNICATION is important! Do not hesitate to send me written notes, emails , or call the office to meet with me during my conference time, 12:10-1:00 on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. The students TAKE HOME FOLDER is a great way to stay in touch as well. I am looking forward to a great year!
