Hello, my name is Shannon Jones. This is the start of my 21st year of teaching. I graduated from Texas Woman's with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I spent two years as a speech therapy assistant. I then attended University of Texas at Arlington to receive my teaching degree. I am certified to teach PreK-6, special education and ESL. I taught Kindergarten for 2 years and then moved up to First Grade with my students. I taught first grade for 3 years and then went into special education for 3 years. In 2007 I decided I was ready to go back to the regular classroom and teach First Grade. I have been teaching First Grade here at Hajek for 11years now. Although at times it is a challenge it is also rewarding!

As of October I will be married to my husband for 20years. We have 2 children Makayla who is 16 and Caden is 11, we also have 2 dogs, Little Bit and Beretta Grace. Our family are Boston Red Sox fans! We also support the Texas Rangers and ATM and TCU. We enjoy going camping and being on the lake.
