I was born in Plano, Texas and spent my childhood in Flower Mound, Texas where I graduated high school. I  attended  Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas and earned a degree in Special Education. I stayed in Wichita Falls  for five years teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Special Ed with a concentration in Reading. The 2022-2023 school year will be my sixth year at Hajek and my eleventh to teach.

I have two chihuahuas, Reese and Riley. They are beyond spoiled! In my free time. I enjoy baking (mostly eating!), spending time with my crazy family, and watching movies. My dream would be to travel the world without a budget. Hey, I said I could dream, right?!

As a student who struggled with reading through elementary school, and now from the point of view as a teacher, I understand that many kids struggle in school. My belief on student learning is that everyone can succeed, but not in the same way or on the same day.
