The Burleson FFA Chapter was established on November 1, 1935 with Ramond McAlister serving as the FFA Chapter President and Mr. Ben Whitehouse as the chapter’s first Advisor. The members studies agriculture at Burleson High School where they were able to receive 4 credits for 3 years of class work. Subjects such as crops, livestock, insect control, farm management, and farm show work were offered to students. The following are FFA activities recorded by the chapter secretary for that year:
1. 140 entered projects at the Johnson County Fair
2. Fishing trip to Lake Worth
3. Trips to the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show and Rodeo and State Fair
4. Carried judging teams to N.T.A.C and Texas A&M
5. Held Skating Party for Future Farmers
6. Community Service Projects: Ranch Work- Dehorning, Culling Calves
