Graduation Plan Overview

*Note: Even though Physics is not necessarily required for high school graduation (is part of the STEM Endorsement), many universities/colleges still require Physics as part of their admission requirements. Check with your school to see their specific requirements.

Distinguished Level of Achievement

Students can earn a Distinguished Level of Achievement on their transcript by completing the foundation plan with an endorsement area while also completing Algebra 2 as one of their 4 math courses.

Students must graduate with a Distinguished Level of Achievement and graduate in the top 10% of their class to be eligible for automatic admission to a public 4-year university in the state of Texas.

Performance Acknowledgements

Students may earn a performance acknowledgement on their transcript for outstanding performance on any of the following:

  • completing 12 hours of college level coursework, either through dual credit or advanced technical credit, with a grade equivalent of 3.0 or higher on a scale of 4.0;

  • in bilingualism or biliteracy

  • earning a score of 3 or above on an Advanced Placement (AP) exam

  • earning a certain score on the PSAT, SAT, ACT or ACT-Plan
