The things we care about. . .

ABSENCES

If you're absent, no big deal! However, you still have to do the work to the level we expect. So, don't just skip the assignment or leave it to last minute. Ask for help, go to tutorials, or whatever you need (without cheating) to get the work done before the grading period ends.

LATE OR MISSING WORK

Deadlines are important. Although the expectation is that assignments are completed on or before the day they are due, this is high school. So, there is a final notice deadline for all work, which is marked on the assignment calendar with a yellow border.

If you have a late or missing assignment, don't get caught up in the details! Just complete it to the level we expect (no cheating) and turn it in. This is important for your teachers because it lets us know what you know, areas of strength and other areas we need to re-teach in class.

PERSONAL TECHNOLOGY (i.e., cell phones, iPads, etc.)

I absolutely do not mind if you have your personal technology in the classroom. However, if it becomes a distraction, teachers expect compliance with requests that the student put the technology in their bags. If the student does not have a bag, we will request the student place the technology on the teacher's desk or on a classroom counter where the teacher can monitor the device.

Non-compliance will result in consequences, as is common in most workplaces.
