A collaboration only possible with our longstanding relationships at schools like The Peace Garden School in Kathmandu.

For the first time, in 2024, we were able to harness the enthusiasm and experience of a student from Durham University who is pursuing a career in teaching.  This partnership provided a more formal and well crafted approach to the educational activities we deliver in Nepal.  

Our aim with the the Teacher Experience Nepal (TEN) project is to encourage professional teachers to develop their skills sets and re-shape them in Nepal.  We have learnt at Birkdale that our passion for education is paralleled in Nepal and the Nepalese love of education welcomes those willing to try.

This is well suited to trainee UK teachers, who are looking to develop their pedagogy and learn from different environments.  It certainly makes you stand out from the crowd.
