Should I bring a pitch deck? / Do I need to have a pitch deck ready?
Not necessarily. Creating Connections is designed to help you build relationships with potential collaborators through informal, introductory meetings. This event is all about making those first connections with industry peers who might become future partners.
While it’s helpful to have a brief project pitch ready, these initial conversations are typically short, so you may not have the chance to go through a full pitch deck. Instead, we recommend focusing on pitching yourself — who you are, your skills, experience, and what you bring to the table. Emphasize your background and interests to help potential collaborators see why they might want to work with you.
Remember, this is about sparking connections that could lead to future collaborations, so aim to make a memorable first impression!
Registration opens at 8:30am, and Welcome Remarks begin at 9:00am. We suggest you arrive anytime between then so that you have enough time to register, and can start meeting the production companies from the Independent Production Market and get a chance to book any 1-on-1 meetings.
