How much do your courses cost?

Under each course description on our Biotouch Academy website, you will find the price listed.

What is a good way to raise funds for the tuition?

Our past students have utilized a variety of creative ways to pay for their tuition. Some working beauticians offered their current clients discounts to pre-book services in order to collect advance payments to finance their permanent makeup (PMU) training. Students have also used credit cards, as often technicians can profit from their PMU services before the first credit card statement is due.

What are the prerequisites for enrollment?

You must first get certified for the Bloodborne Pathogens Test. Biotouch will help you submit your Body Art Practitioners Registration in Los Angeles County.

Do you offer follow-up training?

You may join a refresher class free of charge within a year after completing a course. We encourage you to take advantage of this offer to build up your skills. The more experience you gain, the more advanced skills you will have.

What if  I'm too busy to take a course?

Being busy means that you have existing loyal clients that will trust you to provide permanent makeup services. PMU technicians make an average of $300 to $500 an hour, which is roughly 10 times more profitable than being a hairdresser, a manicurist, or a skin care technician.

Will I get hands-on training?

Yes, we will help you apply for a permit to work on live models. The best way is to bring your own live model so you can review the results of your own work after the healing period.

What supplies and tools come with the course?

Biotouch is the manufacturer of all permanent makeup supplies. Students will receive a professional kit with all the necessary tools and supplies for each class. We have a full inventory of supplies for students at a discounted rate for future purchases.

What if I can’t find a model because I’m not a local resident?

Inform your representative as soon as possible, and he or she will to try arrange a model for you before you arrive.

Will I be able to work right after I am certified?

Yes. In California, we will help you apply for your county registration that will allow you to work in permitted studio salons or clinics.

If I register then can’t make the class, can I reschedule?

Yes. Make sure you inform us in a timely manner that you cannot come to your scheduled class. We can reschedule you for another class at a later date.

Do you offer courses in languages other than English?

We do foreign-language training in many of our international academies. If you are interested in being trained in a languages besides English at our US location, you must notify us beforehand so we can make the proper arrangements.
